Getting started

🌟 Getting started in UNBOUND

  1. When you join, you receive leather boots, a shield, a wooden sword and 9 bread.
  2. Use /novedades to read the changes and press L to open the UNBOUND: Expeditions advancements.
  3. Open your inventory and use JEI to find recipes; R usually shows the recipe and U shows uses.
  4. Recommended first goals: shelter and food, a backpack, a Waystone, a Farmer's Delight kitchen and a basic Create workshop.
  5. Then prepare expeditions to dungeons, Prehistory, the Nether, the End and Cielo Demo.

Use /guias and choose a topic for more detail on each system.

Before your first session

Public opening is planned for 19 December 2026. Access to the website does not mean the server is already open to everyone. Check announcements and server status before installing or joining. Restricted tests require confirmation from the team.

A practical starting route

Start with food, shelter and inventory space. This is a suggested route, not a mandatory quest. Choose a recognisable location and write down its coordinates before travelling. Keep enough food for the return trip.

Then choose one improvement. Read the backpack guide if your inventory fills up. For automation, read the Create guide and check one machine's ingredients in JEI before planning a whole workshop. For exploration, prepare equipment and a return route before looking for dungeons.

Example: your first trip from base

  1. Store unnecessary items and pack food and tools.
  2. Write down your base coordinates and choose a goal.
  3. Check the recipe you want to craft and note missing ingredients.
  4. Return with those materials and complete an improvement before starting another route.

This helps you learn one system at a time. It does not guarantee a structure or resource within a particular distance.

Java and Bedrock have different interfaces

JEI and its shortcuts belong to the Java client. On Bedrock, use the guides or ask for help and specify your edition. Do not install Java files on your phone to imitate another player's interface; tell the team which item or function you need.
